We offer activities designed to ​keep seniors active and involved, ​offer socialization, promote ​friendship, encourage mental ​fitness, maintain independence, ​and positively impact overall ​health & wellness.

Our Adult Day Health Care serves ​adults with special needs ages 21 &

up from Boyle & adjacent counties.

We offer enrichment activities,

games, crafts & more Monday-

Friday, 8:00am - 4:00 pm.

Breakfast, lunch and a snack

are provided daily!

We always have fun here at A Gathering Place! ​Make new friends over lunch every Monday, ​Wednesday, and Friday. Shoot some pool, ​play cornhole, or just enjoy the company of ​others. Some of our more popular activities ​include Bingo, Focused Fun to keep the mind ​sharp, Seasonal and Holiday Craft Projects, ​Bridge Clubs, Day Trips, Picnics, Square ​Dancing, and more! We also have a small ​exercise room to keep you fit, and a Lounge ​area where you can enjoy smaller gatherings!

ADULT DAY HEALTH CARE

Independence through assistance

Our Adult Day Health Care provides a safe, fun, ​supervised group environment for adults ages 21 and ​older. We offer families freedom and peace of mind as ​they go to work and their own activities of daily living ​while individual care and support, including LPN care, are ​provided. We collaborate with each client’s ​interdisciplinary care team to deliver premium care. Hours ​are 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, and breakfast, ​lunch, and snack are provided. Activities include games, ​reality orientation, cognitive activities, music and craft ​programs, physical activities and exercise, and seasonal ​and holiday activities.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

You must be a Boyle County resident ​60 or older, unable to cook for yourself, ​or have no one who can help you with ​meals. We conduct a short assessment ​to determine eligibility. If you qualify, we ​can begin delivery within a couple days!

If you're not sure you qualify call us at ​(859) 236-2070 and we're happy to ​help. You can also come to A Gathering ​Place for activities and lunch, or pick up ​a meal!

Inclement weather may affect delivery. ​Check Facebook, 1230 AM WHIR, or ​local TV, for updates, and an automated ​call is issued to everyone, too!

HOW IT WORKS

You MUST be home to receive meal delivery. If you're away or don't answer the door, we can't leave the meal due to food safety and health concerns. Your safety is our top priority, and we want to ensure you do not become ill from a meal that has been improperly stored or handled.

The meal packages are dated. Hot meals should be eaten immediately or refrigerated and reheated later. Cold items should be immediately refrigerated. Keep perishable foods two days. Milk should be consumed by the date on the top of the carton.

WANT TO VOLUNTEER!

Volunteers are a huge part of our ​Meals on Wheels program, and help ​deliver meals all over Boyle County!

Each one provides so much more ​than just a meal; they become friends ​of our clients. For some, this may be ​their only social interaction that day. ​Our volunteers get to know the folks ​on their route, and often develop ​special bonds with one another.
